Some experiences remind you exactly why you started. This past holiday season at our Pickering Community Event, we had the privilege of bringing together families from across Pickering and Durham Region to celebrate something bigger than real estate — community, connection, and giving back.
To mark the launch of our Pickering Community Facebook Support Group, we hosted a special giveaway of over 120 free family holiday photoshoots. What was meant to be a simple way to give back quickly turned into one of the most emotional, joyful, and meaningful events our team has ever been part of.

How it all started
The idea behind this event was simple: create something meaningful for local families and build a space where neighbours can connect, support one another, and feel part of something positive. At AAProperties, we’re grateful to be part of the Pickering and Durham community, and we’re excited to continue bringing experiences like this to the families and neighbourhoods we serve.
From that idea came the Pickering Community Facebook Support Group — a space dedicated to local events, exclusive giveaways, community updates, and supporting local families and businesses.
A day filled with memories
From the moment families walked in to the Pickering Community Event, the room was full of excitement. Children laughing, parents smiling, photographers capturing beautiful moments — it was incredible to witness.
For many families, this was their first professional holiday photoshoot. Seeing them walk out with smiles, gratitude, and memories they’ll keep forever was something our entire team will never forget.
It was more than a giveaway. It was neighbours meeting neighbours, kids making new friends, and families sharing a space built on positivity and care.
